Saturday versus the Ottawa Senators

I am going to the game on Saturday against the Ottawa Senators, and it is set to be a good one. The Boston Bruins have had some success against the Ottawa Senators this year, having only there first loss of the season to them last time they met. I predict the score will be close, and should end up about 4-3 and the Senators winning in a shootout.

I Am Back

After several months off I am back to blogging, and now that I am back, I have changed how the place looks, and I will be changing the pictures soon. I will start blogging soon

Trade Speculation

From Spectors

The Minnesota Wild are trying to shop LW Mark Parrish, who's been relegated to the club's fourth line. His five-year, $2.7 million per season salary would make him a tough sell. The Wild could also shop RW Pascal Dupuis. Garrioch reports "Phoenix, Boston, Pittsburgh, Montreal and Chicago have all called GM Doug Risebrough to check on his availability."

The Philadelphia Flyers has apparently been getting lots of interest in defenceman Joni Pitkanen. The San Jose Sharks and Boston Bruins are believed interested. The Flyers are also getting calls about Simon Gagne and Mike Knuble.

Bruins#1fan's thoughts-
It would be great to have Mike Knuble back, but I don't if he wants to come back, or if Philadelphia wants to give him up. Mark Parrish would be pricey, but I think he would be a good addition to the Boston Bruins lineup.

Boston Bruins Record Back To One Game Over .500 (Again)

As we saw last night, the Boston Bruins record is back to being a above .500 record. Finally, the Boston Bruins won a game with a two goal lead. The 9 other wins were all one goal wins, and alot of them were overtime wins.

My thoughts on the game...

Peter Tenkrat scored his second goal as a Boston Bruin. From what I have seen from him, he is a speedy player, and both of his goals have been quick wrist shots from about the same place, just opposite side of the net.

Marc Savard continued to play well, except last night he didn't just assist, he scored a goal. Alot of scouting reports, and opinions say that he is a slow player, but I do not see the slowness in him. Obviously he is not the fasted player on the ice, but he is not slow.

The Boston Bruins captain, Zdeno Chara is proving to me that he deserves to be captain, as he got two assists last night.

A fight finally broke out, with Paul Mara fighting, because Darcy Tucker hit Zdeno Chara, and The Boston Bruins defended Zdeno Chara. What is more surprising to me, is that Darcy Tucker did not get a penalty for that hit.

If you watched the replays for the Toronto Maple Leafs goal, you will notice that one of the Boston Bruins players was tripped up by a Toronto Maple Leafs player near the boards, but there was no penalty called.

Tim Thomas played one of his best games of the season. He only let in one goal. You also have to give credit to Andrew Raycroft, because without him, the Toronto Maple Leafs would have had no chance of winning.

The Boston Bruins Are On A Winning Streak

The Washington Capitals are getting better, and better every time we play them, and that is not just because the Boston Bruins are getting worse, and worse.

The Boston Bruins were able to block an almost meltdown in the second period, but we were able to come back, and not let them get ahead, which has mostly been the case this year for the Boston Bruins.

The Boston Bruins goals were not half bad. Brad Stuarts goal came off of a good pass from Marc Savard, and on that goal, Stanislav Chistov got an assist.

This year, the Boston Bruins are a pretty fast team. We proved that even more on Phil Kessels goal. That goal was his fourth of the year.

Tim Thomas played an exceptional game, and one of the two goals came on a 2 and 0 break for the capitals, so it was as bad, if not worse, than a break away

It Was Not That Bad Of A Game...

bruins#1fan's best-

Lewis finally got mad on the ice... but when he did, it was too late

We were 2 for 5 on the power play

Brian Finnly surprised me

Marco Sturm finally scored, and we were not out shot, we tied

bruins#1fan's worst-

Paul Mara screwed up on one of those goals, without that mistake might have tied the game

Tim Thomas let in 3 goals on 10 shots

Tim Thomas was terrible

It is time to get rid of Tim Thomas

The Boston Bruins tried the home run pass way to many times, but we got a goal on that pass twice

We took very bad penalties

This Is Going To Be A Good Game

Why do I say that, you ask?
Well, if the Boston Bruins lose, I expect the Boston Bruins to make a trade. I am not sure if I like this new rumor that we might aquire Nittamakki from Philidelphia. I would like us to aquire Gigure from Anaheim. I do like that we are shopping Marco Sturm, and Brad Stuart, because it is unlikely that either of them are returning.

Second Line Is On A Streak!!

The second line totaled ten points last night. Glen Murray got a goal, and two assists, P.J. Axelsson got a goal, and a assist, and Marc Savard got two goals, and three assists. The past two games this line has really started to play well. I am starting to like Phil Kessel on the third line, I think it might make Wayne Primeau, and Shean Donovan get more points.

The first line better wake up, otherwise they will become the second line. I strongly believe that they will wake up, and start playing better.

It is a good thing Tim Thomas came in to play, He played a solid third period, and that has not come easy for him in the last couple of games he has played.

Phoenix Coyotes Sign Perreault

That seems like a good deal for Phoenix for only 700k. He should be able to help their team.

You Have Got To Be Kidding Me

We out played them, the team played good, but what happens? Tim Thomas lets in a goal with 1.2 seconds left to play, he let in two soft 5 hole goals.

It is time to get a goalie.

Samsonov Demoted to Fourth Line

That's what Samsonov gets for signing with th Montreal Canadiens. I liked how he played on the Edmonto Oilers in the playoffs, he should have stayed there.

My Thoughts On The Glen Murray Rumor

If we are to trade Glen Murray, I do not think we need another top six forward. We need a goalie. The reason I think we do not need another top six forward is because we beat the Calgary Flames without Marco Sturm, so if we had Marco Sturm in that game, and we did not have Glen Murray, we probably would have been fine. Since the Buffalo Sabres would probably not trade Martin Biron, because he is in our division, I would like to see the Boston Bruins try to get Nabokov from San Jose.

To tell you the truth, I don't want us to tade Glen Murray, I think we can wait another year for Tuuka Rask.

What A Game

If Glen Murray keeps playing the way he played last night, don't expect him to be traded. A goal 18 seconds in, what a nice pass from Marc Savard.

Sorry for the lack of updates, I just got a new computer, and it has taken a while to set up.

I like these new lines, we probably would of been better with Marco Sturm, but I like P.J. Axelsson on the first line. P.J. Axelsson will probably go back to the third line when Marco Sturm comes back.

Another One Of My Crazy Solutions

Well, as we heard days ago, goaltender Mikael Telqvist was sent down to the Toronto Marlies. Well, Maybe the Boston Bruins should try to get him, not to be a starter, but to maybe be a back up. I can't wait until next year when we can maybe sign Rask, because he should become a #1 goaltender someday.

A Possible Solution?

I know I will be bashed badly for it, and I know it is only 4 games through the season, but I have a possible trade proposal, that most likely will not happen, but it could. I say that since the Boston Bruins have two good backup goalies in Tim Thomas, and Hannu Toivonen, we obviosly need a reliable starter. The trade that I am about to say probably won't be a fair trade to Bufffalo, but I say that we should trade Tim Thomas, a pick, and a miner leage player to the Buffalo Sabres for Martin Biron. I know this probably won't happen, but Martin Biron wants to be a starter, and I want to see him in a Boston Bruins uniform. Maybe we could trade somebody else for him, but I think that could be the solution, acquiring Martin Biron

The Buffulo Sabres beat The Detroit RedWings In The Shoot Out

Buffalo did not deserve that win. Detroit completely out played them, and out shot them 43-17. The final score was 3-2 for Buffalo. Miller played great.

If you want to watch games on TSN, or any other non-local channel, that would cost money for you to watch, go to comcast.net, and you can watch a free NHL game almost every night, it is really good. Who needs to buy channels when you can go to comcast.net for free. Try it.

What A Play, And What A Goal By Patrice Bergeron!...Yet What A Terrible Loss

Well, we can make the game sound good by say Tim Thomas had a shutout for 55 minutes. We could also make it sound worse by saying that Tim Thomas let in two goals in a span of about 2 minutes. All Boston Bruins fans have been praying that Marc Savard doesn't turn out to be another Alexie Zhamnov, what a relief it was to see him score his first goal as a member of the Boston Bruins. Hopefully he can keep it up. Kessel got his second NHL career point, Tim Thomas got his second 06' 07' season loss. I am glad that Manny Legace played well, because I want it to be a slap in the face to Detroit for not resigning him.

Thomas To Start

Thomas is going to start in net tonight. Old new, but I was getting board. So I had to write.

Just So You Know

As you may notice, I have the score of the game right above this post. Well, that is not a post, it is just part of the side bar that I thought was more important than the others, so I put it there. That is not a post.

Hoping Hannu Starts

I a really hoping Hannu Toivonen starts tomorow, and he probably will. I also hope that the next game that Thomas plays is alot better than the first one he played, because I like Tim Thomas, and I hope we won't have to trade him, but for now, Hannu Toivonen should start. No doubt in mind about this. I would be shocked if Dave Lewis put out Tim Thomas, but you never know, his first game back, he may have been rusty

Just A Thought...

As every one hopefully knows, Jason Allison is still without an NHL job. From what I have read in comments about Allison really disgusts me. Some people say he should come back to Boston, and I stongly disagree with that. Besides the fact that we have too many centers right now, what would he end up being, a third line center. I do not think he would want that. Why would we want someone to come back to Boston, who left for money reasons,(It was a trade, but we only traded him because of money issues), why would we want him. I say Toronto resigns him, he played well there, and he would help Toronto offensively.

Pahlsson Signs Extension Withe The Anaheim Ducks

Samuel Pahllson has signed a two year contract exxtension with the Anaheim Ducks. Lst year he had 11 goals, and 10 assists for 21 points.
